I'm not sure if this has translated correctly? It should read:
Does this mean that the gearbox doesn't change into neutral but stays in gear with the clutch released, even when neutral is selected? -
Hi Chris,
I had almost identical problems, gear not available and
crunching noises. Bleed the brake fluid for the clutch and the problem was solved.
Danger:
Do not bleed with Multiecuscan, but mechanically via the bleed valve.

Sorry I'm struggling to post correctly!
Was it the gearbox ECU that was replaced and what year was your van please? -
I got this one ( Gear Box) replaced during a trip to Portugal two years ago. The message "gear not available" was deleted - but it came back 200 miles before I reached my home in Germany. Finally, the Sachs "performance" clutch was brought in - problem solved since then!
Was it the ECU that waswas replaced?if I am not mistaken, the LuK-Fiat clutch has 11 tiny plastic parts, which are being destroyed so the electronics still create the message "no gear". Consequently, it might happen 11 times.

Now slowly come back to the original dialect of this forum. Dear Canex, Google can indeed translate into all languages. So make an effort. The willingness to help here would suddenly increase.
Greetings Wolfgang
I can only apologise, but my schoolboy German would not get me very far!
If it were not for Google translate I wouldn't be able to converse with all you friendly & helpful Germans.
Thanks very much
If I type in German it translates to English!!
Vielen Dank -
Will it need the fault clearing before it will work ?

I haven't got multieuscan ☹️ just a cheap reader which doesn't show anything.

So, I have topped hydraulic fluid up & it's taken about 250/300ml. If I turn ignition on & select gear it goes in and out ok & I can hear hydraulic pump running every few changes. I have done that lots of times to get the oil through & topped the fluid up after the first time.
If I start it in neutral and quickly put it into gear there is a big clunk & it goes in. I can then select neutral afterwards.
If I start it & wait, as soon as I try to select a gear it says 'gear not available'.
I've tried disconnecting the battery & leaving for 30 minutes but just the same.
Any one any ideas please ???????? -
How crucial is the level - do you know?
We are parked on a slope facing downward.
Is there a level sensor? -

Help! More problems.
If you see on my posts above - I had the gearbox recalibrated and it was working great.
Now however I have the 'gear not available ' again
I have found the cap was loose on the M40 ATM reservoir and the fluid is 25cm below the top.
My question is - can I just top it up or do I have to bleed it?Regards

Thank you Michael, I thought the plastic clutch parts were only after 2016 or was it 2018? Mine is a 2015 so hopefully I won't have that problem
-
Sorry, I thought it was already translated into German! That's better? This might not be the place to ask this, but we've got the transmission working now, but it feels like it's slipping slightly when shifting and starting off.
I believe there is a procedure for resetting - does anyone know please? -

Hi everyone, I hope google can help translate as I can't speak German!
I have just read all 63 pages - over 3 hours :big eyes: and learnt an awful lot!
I had a problem with my 2015 2.3 Ducato which no one has mentioned. It was the red connector pictured here from another German forum. I had the usual 'gear not available' scenario and cleaning this contact cured my problem.! However, the fault came back and it was not the connection at this plug - the 30 amp fuse next to the relay had blown. Has anyone any idea what could cause this?
I am getting the relay connections checked next.
There are also reports on other forums of wires being worn in the harness - shorting to earth! has anyone here experienced anything like that?many thanks
Chris
